1. Load and fire...start with mass high (arms a little higher and body up-forward), drop body to preload muscles creating stretch in both lower body and upper body, as the stretch begins and you can "feel" the ground...fire! The key is fast feet and hands. 2. Keep the kick impulse early...bring the body a little more up and forward, then start by kicking down...this allows early pressure on the ski and emphasizes the "sweet spot" on the power curve, giving more power and allowing for fast tempo with complete movement.
Otherwise, it looks great...silky smooth and powerful!
and for the rest of you that's erik-my-coach and he gets carte-blanche to tell me what to do. and those are the types of things he tells me... I asked him to comment on my technique in this video clip.
