8 days. 5 races.
We finished our fifth and final race here in SilverStar. That makes for a pretty solid chunk of racing. The classic sprints yesterday were fun. Racing tonight in the dark, in the snowstorm, under the lights was fun. I am tired.
The best part was having all of the parents up to watch. Sam Naney's mom, KO's family, Gregg's parents, my parents. It was like being back at the JOQs in High School. Just bigger. With faster people. Even though it's a solid 6 hours from Wenatchee this is as close as I've gotten to a hometown race in a long time.

Wow Laura- What a long way you've come- I imagine having some old faces in the throng feels good! Tara and I are going to hike Macchu Picchu in a couple of weeks, I'm hoping we'll conspire a scheme to come watch you in Vancouver (during the Olympics!) All my best race vibes are often sent in your direction- I miss our "hometown" racing circuit, it rocked... spending a week in Bend, OR makes me want to get serious again... we'll see what life brings. I will be getting to ski some in South America- I'll have to let you know what I think. All my best always- Mer ;)
